Independence stands at a critical juncture
Pivotal decisions are ahead of us — decisions that will shape generations to come. These decisions require thoughtful, honest leadership. Individuals who are committed to listening and doing the hard work to propel our City forward.
Hard work has always been my guiding principle. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and dedicate myself to the betterment of our city and the third district.
While going door-to-door, I've listened to the residents of the third district. Their concerns have centered on a few important issues:
IPL
Voters will decide to either continue owning Independence Power and Light OR to sell the utility to another entity. But this issue must be balanced with how to fulfill the future energy needs of our City with the lowest possible rates.
Homelessness
I support the Independence TOGETHER program and would like to see it expanded. Handouts are not a sustainable solution. We have to engage with the homeless community in order to prioritize and involve them in their own solutions.
Leadership
I am committed to listening and learning from others. I will do my homework and make independent-minded decisions. I am committed to ethical conduct and dedicated to serving the best interests of the people I represent. I will always place the needs of my constituents above my own personal gain.
